Restrictions Lifted & Policy Updates

Your JCP CDD Staff wanted to share some new changes that are a result of the CDD Board meeting that was held on Tuesday, April 27th:

·       Starting Saturday, May 1st, 2021, there will no longer be reservations in the Fitness Area or for the Competition Pool. The only reservations that will be necessary will be for tennis court usage, Group Fitness Programming, and also rentals (pool pavilions/banquet rooms/park pavilion). Fitness and Competition Pool users can come and go at any time with no limit on length of visit.
·       Historically, if you rented a pool pavilion or banquet room and your non-resident guests were expected to use the pools at the Recreation Center, you would be charged $50 per 10 non-resident guests. That has since been changed to a $25 fee for up to 20 non-resident guests. There is now a cap of 20 non-resident guests per rental space. Park pavilions and room rentals are not affected by this, this only applies to reservations where pool usage was expected.
·       There is no more half capacity usage for indoor room rentals. They can be booked up to the cap explained on the website and rental forms.
·       Group Fitness classes will once again move to full capacity as well. There was a cap of 12 per class, that has since changed back to normal (see reservation page for these figures as each class can have class limit stipulations based on equipment and space).

To summarize, it will not be necessary to come to the Competition Pool or the gym at a specific time and stay for a certain duration. Obviously come when and if you are comfortable but understand there will not be participation limitations, and there potentially could be more users than you expected. We still ask everyone remains socially distant, diligent about wiping down their equipment prior to and after usage, and for anyone who wants to wear a mask does so. Staff will continue to wear masks; this has not changed.
