2023 NOVEMBER GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
(Bring mat & water to all classes)
BARRE FUSION – A blend of isolated lower body “booty blasting” exercises combined with full body movements to strengthen & lengthen the total body. Barre is a fusion of Ballet, Pilates, & Yoga. BARRE PILATES -includes Pilates CORE exercises combined with Barre work. BARRE STRENGTH – A rigorous strength workout improves balance, builds strength, & improves stability.
CYCLING –High intensity cardio workout, torching tons of calories! Pedal though flat roads, hill climbs, sprint & race, intervals, & more. CYCLE CORE- 30 Cycle/30 Core. CYCLING FUSION- Class can involve TABATAS, intervals, theme rides, or a total session of cycling patterns/terrains. Class includes glutes & core strengthening. CYCLE/SCULPT- class may involve weights or bands in addition to a regular cycling class format.
FITNESS YOGA- Combines the ancient Hatha Yoga practice with modern fitness movements. Poses are linked together in a flowing series that creates strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, core strength, & balance. Mind/body workout for total fitness!
GENTLE HEALING YOGA – Self-empowered Yoga practice that enhances well-being & maintains/restores health. Lengthen your muscles, calm your mind, & strengthen your bones.
GENTLE YOGA/MEDITATION – This gentle yoga class emphasizes stretching, breathing and focusing the mind (meditation).
KIDS FITNESS– A fun-filled hour of fitness activities & yoga stretches designed to instill positive, healthy lifestyles. Develop total body strength, cardio endurance, & flexibility. Various exercise balls, jump rope, parachute & more! (AGES 5 – 13)
MULTI-LEVEL YOGA – All levels Yoga is a breath centric practice that explores body awareness and alignment through Yoga postures. For all ability levels.
POUND FITNESS – a full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. Using Ripstix, lightly weighted drumsticks, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out! Designed for all fitness levels!
POWER YOGA- This Yoga class is an athletic practice that begins with Sun Salutations and is followed by held postures and core work. Sequences increase strength, stamina and flexibility while pulling from a wide range of lineages and styles allowing the student to turn inward and focus on breath. Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and rest when needed. Adaptable for all levels of fitness.
PURE STRENGTH- Designed to build strength, add definition, decrease body fat, increase lean muscle & improve bone density. Dumbbells, plate loaded barbells, resistance bands, & body weight sculpt your entire body.
QiGONG -Coordinated body-postures & movements, breathing, & meditation used for the purposes of health & martial -arts training. With roots in Chinese medicine, qigong is viewed by the Chinese as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (pronounced “chee”), translated as “life energy”. Health benefits: enhancing the immune system while relieving physical pain, anxiety, & stress.
SCULPT & TONE – Obtain more shape & definition with this sculpt & tone class for all levels of fitness. Class includes a mix of low impact cardio, strength training, and core exercises. Get in shape, tone your muscles & lose body fat!
STRETCH THERAPY +CORE - This class is a complete, full body stretch designed to help with range of motion, pain management, rehabilitation, mobility, & relaxation. Benefits: reduced muscle tension, myofascial release, increased circulation & energy levels, better balance, flexibility & fluidity of movement. Will include CORE exercises.
ZUMBA – Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms & easy-to-follow dance moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program! Come experience a blast of calorie-burning, body-energizing & awe-inspiring movements!
ZUMBA GOLD – This class is perfect for active older adults and any other active individuals who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity and speed. The instructor introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Get ready to sweat and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong!
