Part-time Lifeguard
The Julington Creek Plantation Aquatic Department is currently accepting part-time lifeguard applications.  Lifeguards are hired to work at Julington Creek Plantation’s two Aquatic facilities. 

We are looking to hire responsible, self-motivated individuals with positive attitudes.  These seasonal positions run March 26 – September 30, 2010. 

Job Qualifications:
1.
  
Minimum 16 years of age (by March 26, 2010)
2.
  
Must complete the JCPCDD application of employment and submit with a resume
3.
  
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid Certification
4.
  
Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification
5.
  
Must be physically fit and able to pass the Lifeguard swim test
6.
  
Must be able to work outdoors for a four hour shift
7.
  
Must participate in the Lifeguard Orientation prior to working and sign off on current Lifeguard Manual
8.
  
Must consent to JCPCDD’s Drug and Alcohol Screening Program, as well as consent to a Criminal History Background Test

Experience and knowledge in lifeguarding is not required at time of interview, if candidate does not possess certification qualifications employer will direct applicant to a certification course.

Applicant must submit a completed application for employment and resume to the Aquatic Department.  JCPCDD applications for employment can be retrieved from the Recreation Center’s Front Desk.

Seasonal Food & Beverage Positions
The Café is now accepting applications for seasonal Food and Beverage associates. Positions include cocktail server, cashier, and kitchen attendant.

Qualifications:
  1. All staff must have good communication, professionalism, and “people” skills.
  2. All staff must be able to work indoor or outdoor standing for extended periods in a high pace environment.
  3. All staff must have basic computer competency.
  4. All staff must have the ability to count and track revenue/cash.
  5. All staff must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
  6. All staff must consent to the JCPCDD Drug Screening Program, as well as a Criminal History Background Check.
  7. All staff must be of legal age to serve alcohol (at least 18 years old in the State of Florida).
  8. All staff must follow all Food Safety and Food Handling Procedures.
  9. All staff must take and satisfactorily pass or complete all necessary food handler’s tests and reading materials.
